Wedding Bells are Ringing!

Yup - they did it... Wendy and Tim tied the knot. Wow - I had so many more brilliant things to say before I got distracted reading wedding cartoons. Ok, that's all for now.

Victoria - where the cost of living is sky high...

If you look REALLY closely, you can see the killer whales that I saw on my trip to Victoria yesterday. It was a whirlwind trip - there and back in a matter of hours to have a job interview. Who knows...

Ever Notice how...

In every family photo there has got ot be the goof ball who just can't seem to smile and that is my brother Derek - ever since he was a little kid he just couldn't seem to smile. Why am I writing about this anyway? I was thinking today that I would like to write things that are a little bit deeper - then I went here and did this and that sort of thing. I guess if you don't really have a purpose in mind then you won't really be writing for any sort of aim and then it is just whatever happens to be going on in your head at the moment. ANyhoo - that is my family and our attempted pic for the grandma. My grandma just got moved into a home last week after over 85 years living on a Hutterite Colony. Super traumatic for her - I can't even imagine trying to adjust to things. She's called my dad so many times this week already. I need to go out there soon.

Surf Trip

Well, we only just got back now from our trip to Tofino for the weekend, it was a LONG day today of ferry rides and travelling after a hectic weekend- and when I say hectic, what I really mean is one long party with a great crew of people. It was our good friend Brent Brown's birthday celebrationi this weekend and things went smashing. There was some surfing involved- of course right after watching surfing movies and listening to shark stories which didn't helop any. I did manage to sprain my ring finger somehow and it's a lovely shade of purple but other than that - everything came out A-Ok! Cheers, and here's to the first day of summer school tommorow:)

“ Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ”- Philippians 4: 6-7

D-Fest 2006

Ok the preshow music is on- check and double check. Audience is filing in... wait for an elbow from Jamie- yup we're good to go for the opening cue. Ok, bring that level down - set up the disc, fade that up... nice- everyting looks great so far.

Oh man, this is such a funny play - Marretta and Chris did such a great job on it- not to mention Patrick - where did he find this play? Ok, well, I've got at least 20 pages until the next cue, maybe if I just rest my head down a little. Oh, careful not to bump the light board- wouldn't want to set them up in a blackout- that would suck.

Ok, there, that's nice, just cozy up in my little fuzzy sweater and rest my tired little head on my elbow. Breath in, breath out Breath in, breath out.

Gosh, this play sure is funny... oooh. I think my breathing is getting heavier... yup, definitely a steady rythm developing. Oh gosh, Ange, you're not allowed to fall asleep again. Must arise for the gun shot. Ok, just lift up your head slowly out of la la land and into reality.

"Well, Raggy, I haven't seen much movement comin' out of you in the last while, either!"
"Much movement? What do you mean Baggy?"
"Well, you know..."

Ok, it's all good, they're still arguing, no need to panic yet. Oh I'm glad its this play right now, I couldn't handle anything anymore complicated - sigh, but still 3 more to go and the night is still young. Stay awake, must stay awake... :)
